Grant for BER assessment

SEI (Sustainable Energy Ireland) have introduced a Home Energy Saving Scheme which is to encourage home owners to upgrade their existing dwelling to make it more energy efficient and a home owner can get a €200 Grant towards a BER certificate.

To avail of this grant the home owner must get a BER done on the house before any upgrade works are carried out on the dwelling and then when all works are complete the home owner must get another BER done.

There are grants available for upgrading the dwelling as well as for the BER. The table below shows the grants available.

*Please note that while you are entitled to apply for each Measure there is a minimum requirement that the grant amount in the first application must be €500 or greater. The BER grant cannot form part of this €500 amount.
